Perfect poems, perfect prints and perfect paper

In the world of personalised print design, the choice of paper is a critical factor that can significantly impact the final result. Among the host of options I tried during my research (heaven for a stationery geek like me), G.F. Smith Munken Fine Paper stood out.

Renowned for craftsmanship and care, the superior thickness and smooth finish gives my bespoke poetry prints the level of quality I need. Whether I’m creating a poetry gift,  poetry print for a wedding reading, a bespoke birthday gift or personalised poetry print for any other occasion, I take care to use the best materials I can. This means your personalised poem looks as beautiful as it sounds.

 The Heritage of Excellence

G.F. Smith, a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the paper industry, has a rich heritage dating back to 1885. The Munken Fine Paper range is a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence. Sourced from sustainable forests and produced with meticulous attention to detail, Munken papers embody a legacy of craftsmanship that is reflected in every sheet.

“The natural qualities of the Munken Design range are drawn from a desire to put the environment and the mill’s impact on its natural surroundings as the first priority.”

Unrivaled Texture and Feel

One of the standout features of Munken Fine Paper is texture. The paper’s smooth yet tactile surface adds a sensory dimension to prints, creating a quality appearance that works alongside the care and time put into writing the words themselves. This combination of quality materials and skilled use of language means you can be confident your bespoke poetry print will be a cherished gift, now and for years to come.

Exceptional Print Reproduction

Print quality is paramount and this is where choosing a quality paper really makes a difference. The paper’s exceptional print reproduction capabilities mean that colours appear vivid and images retain their sharpness. The smooth surface allows for precise ink absorption, which means prints have a superb level of detail and clarity.  I know Munken Fine Paper will faithfully bring my creative visions to life with stunning precision, looks that last and give you a print that looks absolutely stunning on your wall. A true family heirloom.

An environmentally responsible choice

Environmental responsibility matters. By choosing to give a personalised poem from a small business you’ve already made a sustainable choice. I’m happy to continue this sense of environmental responsibility by choosing a paper that’s sustainable and from a company that is committed to responsible forestry practices. Munken papers are FSC-certified which means that the raw materials used are sourced ethically and sustainably. Choosing Munken Fine Paper not only ensures a premium printing experience but also aligns with a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Flexibility and choice

As a rule I choose to print your personalised poem on cream coloured paper. I find it gives a softer finish than white, and works with most frame colours and decor styles. Having said that, G.F.Smith offer a sizeable range of colours. If you’d prefer me to print on a different colour just ask. There would be a small extra charge of £5.00, just to cover the cost but I understand this kind of detail is so often the element that makes your gift even more special.

Commission a personalised poem

When you choose to buy a bespoke poem as a gift, you’re choosing a gift that says how much you care in a lasting and unique way. Part of my commitment to excellence in all a do is to offer prints that are as beautiful as the words they carry. I’m proud to be a small business, and proud to be able to offer products that a truly one-off and truly created for you as an individual. Choosing quality materials is a big part of this. I hope you’ve enjoyed discovering a little more about how your personalised poems come to life and look forward to making something beautiful for you.
